Yesterday, the High Court delivered an interim order in favour of CMR North following the organisation’s legal team’s urgent application to restore the status of the child protection organisation (CPO), due to the revocation by the Department of Social Development (DSD) on 8 June 2022. The reinstatement is done, pending an investigation into the issues raised by third parties, to which the CMR North will now not only have full insight, but also an opportunity to address and respond to this matter. Gister het die Hooggeregshof ‘n tussentydse bevel ten gunste van CMR Noord gemaak na aanleiding van die organisasie se regspan se dringende aansoek om die status van die kinderbeskermingsorganisasie (KBO) te herstel, weens die herroeping deur die Departement van Maatskaplike Ontwikkeling (DMO) op 8 Junie 2022. Die herinstelling word gedoen, hangende ‘n ondersoek na die kwessies wat deur derde partye geopper is, waartoe die CMR Noord nou nie net volle insae sal hê nie, maar ook ‘n geleentheid om dit aan te spreek en te beantwoord.
